How Humane Is An Electric Invisible Dog fence?
Article By: Julie Swane

Some dog owners are curious to know if an invisible dog fence is humane. They hear expressions like electric fences and shock collars, which gives the impression of being very painful. On the other hand, there are people who campaign against any form of stick and carrot method to train a dog and who misunderstand how electronic training devices really work. When you study how a wireless or underground dog fence works, you will understand how humane they are. The correction a dog receives is similar to a static shock and is designed to startle or certainly get your dogs attention. It works the same way as a mum dog will correct her puppies. Should her puppy mess around and annoy the mother, the mother will chastise the puppy by nibbling it around the neck. The pup gets the message very quickly and changes its behavior appropriately. This is exactly the same way an invisible dog fence works, when the dog attempts to get outside the boundary it gets a nip on the neck. It doesn't harm the dog, and it does work. Often dogs when let loose in the back yard like to escape by jumping the fence or burrowing their way underneath it. What makes the situation worse is having a pet dog that is difficult to train, is very disobedient and if anything feel that they are the master of you and so takes no notice of your instructions about not escaping over the fence. So what are your options; don't let the dog out or chain it up. Now that is what I call being inhumane. Dog owners consider very carefully about investing in a dog fence because of the cost of them is very high. Only when a dog owner runs out alternative things to try, do they then turn to a dog fence. They want their pet to be able to frolic around outside, and if it is a guard dog then it is not that much of a deterrent if it is locked up inside. There are many risks to your dog if it does escape from the security of your backyard, if it finds itself on a road, it runs the risk of being injured. If it starts to chase farm animals then there definitely can be some very serious consequences. Farmers have a real aversion to having stray dogs on their land and will quickly reach for their gun if they find one. If you are faced with these problems, you can appreciate why an invisible dog fence is a good solution. The good news is that these invisible dog fences are a piece of cake to get up and running. They serve an unlimited number of dogs, and as they are out of sight, they do not clutter your garden.

Original Article URL: How Humane Is An Electric Invisible Dog fence?

Find out where to buy the cheapest wireless fence visit dog fence.
